KitchenAid Nitro Carbon Steel 8.5″ Fry Pan

Ultra durable carbon steel is made with an innovative nitro heat technology to seal the surface of the pan and help lock out moisture, making it rust resistant and 22% harder than traditional carbon steel. A hybrid of the best cookware qualities, nitro carbon steel combines excellent searing and heat distribution, lighter weight, and the ability to build a seasoning that performs like nonstick over time, for the ultimate kitchen workhorse and the perfect do-it-all pan. Traditional carbon steel allows water to penetrate the exposed, porous pan surface and cause rust. Nitro heat treated carbon steel seals the pan surface against water penetration and the rust it can cause.
